3 THINGS YOU SHOULD UPDATE ON YOUR PITCH EVERY QUARTER

As someone who sends hundreds of pitches every week and thousands every quarter, I’ve found that making these four updates every few months is crucial! Since my team and I send a mixture of automatic and custom pitches, we typically focus on updating our automatic pitches every quarter and custom pitches on a monthly basis. The automatic pitches don’t need quite as many updates as the custom, which is why there is a difference of monthly + quarter.

Are you ready to know what you should be updating every quarter? Let’s get into it! 

  1. Stats: Depending on your growth as an influencer, you may want to be updating your stats more than every quarter. However, focus on these stats for each quarterly update: story views, engagement rate, audience demographics, and following. These stats typically have a slower increase (i.e. there won’t be a noticeable increase in your engagement after a few weeks, more so after several months) and are likely to fluctuate throughout the quarter. Making sure to update, as needed, will be huge to contacts reviewing your pitch!

  2. Images + Links: Our team at It Girl Agency curates pitches to include images from past brands and our creator's Instagram. It creates an eye-catching and fun pitch, very different from a typical text-style pitch! We update these images and the links to their Instagram, newest brand deal, and other tags every quarter. This is vitally important if you go through a rebranding process with your social/brand!
